About Us

The Graduate University of America is a nonprofit, religious, educational institution owned by University Church.

The Graduate University of America is accredited by The American Positive Psychology Association.  The AMPPA is recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.  Neither the University nor AMPPA participate in any federal student loan programs and therefore neither institution is listed on the U. S. Department of Education website.

The U. S. Department of Education considers all accrediting bodies as equal and favors none!

We are opposed to federal student loan programs because they allow traditional colleges and universities to over-charge students.  These students do not realize how difficult these loans will be to pay back upon graduation.  Federal student loan programs are a kind of predatory lending by the U. S. government.

The Graduate University of America's tuition is a fraction of the tuition charged by traditional colleges and universities so loans are generally not necessary to afford the tuition!

The Graduate University of America is exempt from government regulation pursuant to the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and religion.  There is a wall of separation between church and state.  This constitutional guarantee was affirmed in a 2007 Texas Supreme Court decision that prohibited the State of Texas from regulating religious education.
